Travel to Southampton

By air

There are numerous regular flights to Southampton International Airport from various national and international airports. Details of flight routes and times are available from the Southampton Airport website.

By rail

Frequent fast trains run to Southampton from London Waterloo, many calling at Woking for the Heathrow RailAir coach link. Timetables, fares and booking are available on www.nationalrail.co.uk. Through cross-country trains also run several times a day from Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and many other UK centres.

The nearest main station to the University is Southampton Airport Parkway; all trains from London and Woking call here.

By road

Southampton is just 75 miles (120km) from London and 21 miles (35km) from the Channel ports. The M3, M27 and A34 provide fast, direct access while the A36 is the main route to the West Country, Bristol and Wales.
