Instructions

  1. Abstracts of up to 400 words should be submitted by e-mail, using the submission form provided, to the conference organising committee by the 2nd October, 2009.
  2. The author/presenter making the submission must provide the names and affiliations of all co-authors/co-presenters for each submission.
  3. Authors who are submitting a paper presentation may also have their paper considered for a poster session if it is not accepted. Please check the appropriate box on the submission form.
  4. Authors can make submissions to be considered only for the poster session. Please check the appropriate box on the submission form.
  5. If you submit an abstract for a workshop, paper or a poster, you should do so with the understanding that you plan to attend UKSBM Annual Meeting 2009.
  6. Presenters of posters will be expected to attend the scheduled poster session on the first day of the conference. Posters will then remain on display for the duration of the conference.
  7. Authors/presenters will be notified of the committee's decision by the end of Week Commencing 14th August, 2009.
  8. Participants are expected to cover their own registration, travel and accommodation costs.

Abstract preparation & submission

The meeting programme will be informed by the abstract submissions of participants. This year’s featured theme is 'Behavioural Medicine: Where Next' although submissions on a wide range of topics are invited. All submissions must use the relevant abstract form.

Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail, using the abstract submission form provided, to Delia.Perkins@hantspt-sw.nhs.uk by Friday 2nd October, 2009

Committee members will select oral or poster presentations, workshops or structured discussions on the basis of relevance and merits of the abstracts submitted.

Publication of abstracts

Abstracts selected for presentation will be published in a book of abstracts which will be distributed to all participants at the meeting.
